Okay I installed today 12 GB RAM in our Asus N73SV, however it only recognises 8 GB RAM.
As far as I can tell, the one underneath the keyboard isn't working?
I also tried putting the original 4 GB RAM stick, which came with the laptop, in the 3rd RAM slot, but still only 8 GB shows up?
I tried reseating the stick several times. But no success. It will always show 8GB RAM in the bios and in windows. The other 2 slots appear to work fine?
Anyone else experiencing this?
Sigh... Seems I am having a lot of problems with this Asus N73SV laptop.

Try using only one stick at a time in a working slot and see if it is identified in bios. If all three are identified, try placing one in each slot at a time and see which isn't working. If one is verified to be spoilt, RMA your laptop.

Thanks I will give that a go; that's the only thing I didn't really try yet.
Really starting to dislike the Asus laptop now, since this is the 2nd issue I am having with this laptop.
Anyways, I will start tonight with putting RAM in the 3rd slot. And see if it boots up, if it does, I will test the 2nd and 1st bank seperately. I will post back later the results.

Lol... I also received an answer from Asus "technical" support, they said that laptop are very senstive for different (brand) memory modules. And most probably the N73SV laptop does not accept my 3x 4GB modules. Furthermore they advice me to use 3x 4GB 1066 Mhz modules instead.
Great answer... Not.... Sheesh. More like BS to me... There support is still crappy as it was a few years ago.
Anyways, I am going to try all memory banks seperately later tonight and see what happens. I still think one of the banks is damaged, instead of the explanation that Asus-guy gave me....
Oh and the brand of 3x 4GB memory is:
KINGSTON 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC CL9 SODIMM
3x KVR1333D3S9/4G
Asus N73SV 12GB installed, shows 8GB (bios/win). :S
