    Hi,
A couple of days ago my webcam stopped working. It does not show up in the device manager. I have set the BIOS back to default but that has not helped>
I would like to know how to get to where the cable hooks to the mother board so I can check to see if it just needs to be push back in. Or check the connection on the monitor to see if the problem is there. Can you supply me with this info?

I have been working in IT for over 25 years and for 10 years been working with DELL laptops. But have no info on how to disassemble this laptop.
I know how to get tot the back cover to see my Hard Drive, but need more detailed info as to where the webcam cable is plugged in.
I have Googled for days trying to get some technical on this model N73SV 17.3 Laptop.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Rbubbly-

You could attempt to find this connection falt, but you may want to be careful as this may void your warranty if deconstruction fails.

Once you take off keyboard and disconnect plate under keyboard, from the back you should be able to get to the connection. There should be 1 wire coming off each side near the hinges. Then a 3 smaller wire, maybe 1/2 inch wide for the connection, would be the webcam connection. If that is disconnected, that would be your culprite.
