I have searched hi and low, Asus site is useless, when you can get it to come up after forever, slowest of any corporation in the industry, I send Support questions, no answers to two inquiries.
I have owned Asus Laptops for a few years. When I purchased this new one, I knew I was making a mistake not going with the 75, sound all sounded fine, I do not have the clicking that so many everywhere do. I love the external bass, sounds nice on movies. One day, the whole sound was awful, speakers and Bass, muffled, no real volume, not that this would have mattered. So, it had me puzzled. Watching a movie, the opening credits sounded fine, once the movie started, what I explained Above. DivX, straight of DVD, Blu Ray, all the same. Opening credits, sound was perfect, movie start, a disaster. So, At last resort, finding nothing for an hour of Google searches, I said let me uninstall the driver and get it at Asus. Same Driver, same date, as I have only had this about two months. Sound came back beautiful, bass no longer works at all. I have, as I touched my first dumb terminal in 1984, pretty versed (or I think) on all the Windows and sound card settings. Nothing. This is my key in need.
Second, for some reason, when I close this puppy shut, and on some startup's, especially when I close the lid and come back, the wi-fi will not auto connect, the big red X. I have to manually do it, clicking the little ASUS thing that pops up when clicking the Wi-Fi status bar on the bottom left by battery.
If you an get me right, how about a steak dinner. If not, I am tossing it in the trash and going with either the 75 or another of the top end products. I knew I would be lost, as soon as I bought it end of Sep, Tiger pulled it off their website, first saying in store only, now SEARCH NOT FOUND.
Thanks,
Scott

Welcome to the Forum, I guess you have not used the Verizon Forum (LOL) One thing to try for the WIFI is to go to device manager - Network adapter - properties of the device - power management tab then uncheck allow the computer to turn off... Also updating the driver fixed a similar issue for me. (Wake from sleep + some cold boots)
