Hey all, I'm new to the forums. I'm in the process of modding my n80 and I wanted some feedback.
t9800 2.97 ghz ES Core with Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
4gb X2 of g.skill memory
4g intel turbo memory (I know overkill)
Vista Home Prem 64 bit
G.SKILL TITAN Series FM-25S2S-256GBT1 2.5" 256GB SATA II Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Retail (waiting for this to come out)
BT-183_Bluetooth Module
-
thats going to be one baller computer....
can you put a Pxxxx CPU in though? that would be nice
-
Not too sure about the P series. I'll post some vids up as I receive my parts.
-
Is it 800Mhz? I thought the N80 used 800Mhz ram, but i don't think GSkill make anything other than 4Gb 667Mhz ram.
They have been released from places like BestBuy already, so shouldn't be far away. 8Gb and SSD sound like fun to me anyway... Enjoy and let use know your results. -
where to get that?
-
where are you getting the t9800 from o.o?
i've searched a few websites (newegg, buy.com) but they don't seem to have it -
You can get this from this website:

There's also some selling on ebay as well. -
I purchased mine off of ebay for 378$. Its an ES model tho.

Dear lord.... $69????? I hope you didn't order that. Check the Asus estore for a more reasonable price.

huh!? will it fit on n80vn-x1??
-
That site looks very unprofessional to me.
Grammar and Layout discrepancy, I would honestly not purchase from them base on the fact if their a computer company the website should look a lot more professional.
Not saying they aren't good just looks a tad fishy to me. -
lol yeah the site does look kinda sketchy >.>
-
Yeah that site looks über sketchy. I purchased my processor from extremeprocessor on eBay. The processor is already in NYC. I kinda jumped the gun and disassembled the lappy already. I'll post some pics once I get home.
