Which one to buy? I noticed that N81vg is not available for review here, but it is the only N-series model offered here in Singapore. Here is the spec and price for both laptops:

    N81Vg
    Processor: Intel Core2 duo processor Penryr P8700 2.53 Ghz, 1066 Mhz, 3 MB L2
OS : Vista Home, with free upgrade to Windows 7
    Graphic card : nVidia Geforce G120 M 1 GB
    RAM : 4 GB DDR2 RAM
HDD : 500 GB SATA HDD
    and other unimportant features
    Price : 1898 SGD

    G71GX
    Processor : Intel Core2 P8700 1066MHz, 3MB L2 cache and 2.53GHz
    RAM : 6GB DDR2 memory
OS : Vista Home, not sure about the free upgrade to Windows 7
HDD : 500 GB SATA HDD
Graphic card : nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1 GB
    and other features
Price : 1800+ SGD (including shipping cost)

Well, as you can see, the only huge difference is the graphic card and convenience (since, I have to get my friend to ship it to Singapore). The question is: Will it actually be worth all the trouble for my friend and me?

Well, if your main purpose is gaming, G71Gx is definitely the better choice.

umm, if you ship into Singapore I recall you need to factor in the 7% GST.
    Does the price include shipping?

I forgot to factor the GST in! Well, actually I checked around and it seems like the price for shipping is around US$100 ( using Global Express through USPS), which translates to another $150+ SGD. The price would then be around 1950 SGD... Still, it seems like G71GX is well worth the extra 50 SGD or so. I think I will go for G71GX... Time to contact my friend in the States, then.. Thanks, guys!
