I'll try to make this a bit short since the problem is pretty evident.

The dialog on the left is what the settings dialog in flash normally looks like - crips and sharp - while the dialog on the right has some terribly fuzzy edges.

Both dialogs are screengrabs from my new laptop and the only difference is that the one on the right is taken with the youtube player in fullscreen mode, while the one on the left is taken while the player has its regular size.

Its not just the dialog that appears like this when in fullscreen, everything has these fuzzy edges and it takes away the pleasure of watching streaming video.

I tried installing the nvidia driver that was supposed to address this issue, but this removed the notebooks ability to switch between integrated and dedicated graphics automatically.
Additionally, I've tried installing the latest drivers from ASUS and Nvidia, this didn't resolve the issue.

I've complained about this to ASUS, but so far I've only gotten useless canned answers, even by phone.
Any clues, hints, questions or sane suggestions are welcomed; I'm about to give up on this issue and turn my back on ASUS.

I had this same problem. All it is is some strange incompatibility between youtube's flash player and optimus drivers. For some reason the nvidia card is activating for hd and fullscreen youtube but getting corrupted in the process.

Solution: First make sure you have the latest intel and nvidia drivers (260.99) properly installed. Make sure you do the full uninstalls of both with driver sweeping.
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-driver.html

Then under optimus settings, set your browser to use integrated graphics only. The intel HD can play video fine and you have no more corruption.

Oh and don't bother with the special ASUS optimus drivers (189). They totally don't work with optimus. The reason they remove the corruption is because only the intel HD is operating. Just download the latest verde 260.99 drivers. Those enable optimus.

Surprisingly simple solution for a problem like this.
I actually expected the Intel HD card to render the flash player content when "Hardware acceleration" was off, since the diode on the laptop didn't turn white, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Thank you jamus28, you've made my day :)

Kinda fixed my problem though. Now after i installed the 260.99 drivers, my computer won´t auto swap gpus. I have to manually set the various programs in the settings window. This is really annoying!!!
