    Hi guys,

I just bought an Asus N80VN laptop, and on the whole, I love it. It has the well-known keyboard lag issue, and I'm debating whether or not it's worth it to uninstall the Synaptics driver. But I have two other questions that I haven't answered yet.

    1) When I got the lappy, I noticed the sound was a little wonky, and it wouldn't play the first 1/2 second of any sound. I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate x64. The sound worked right away - obviously Vista came with a compatible driver. Then I installed the Realtek drivers anyway, and it started having the same issue as before. Uninstalled that, and the problem went away. So my question is, am I missing anything by using the default Vista drivers? And, should I install the nVidia HD Audio drivers that come with the video card driver? (I didn't, but maybe those would somehow work and provide better sound?)

    2) I installed the driver / utility for my fingerprint reader, but I can't logon using it, and there is no utility for it that I can access. I didn't install "Data Security Manager Utility" - is that what actually lets me use the fingerprint reader? If so, do I need this utility to use the fingerprint reader for anything at all (e.g. website passwords), or is it just for logging on to Windows?

Thanks! Any help is greatly appreciated.
