I am really looking hard at getting an Asus W3J or W7J. But I am also looking at the Sony SZ series. What would make this decision much easier is if I could actually see both in person. I live in the US (Oregon) and I have not seen a single Asus notebook in any stores. Are there any stores that sell these? What would be my best bet to see one in person?

Check out the ASUS Where to Buy page for Notebooks...
http://usa.asus.com/100/html/wheretobuy/NB_us.htm?prod=NB&ctry=US
Find out what resellers are close to you.
If you're close to the Kansas City area, let us know. -
ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Asus is not sold in any US retail storefront outlets. You can really only get them from resellers or online. See the thread here in the Asus notebook section for where you can purchase them. To see one in person, you have to find someone that has one or get to a reseller's store.

Sharpie i don't wanna seem bias or anything, but man, that Sony SZ series is simply unbelievably expensive, did you see the review on the front page, click home to see it, this guys paid 3k for it, yikes!.
Anyways, you can take several thread and reviews of both W3J and Sony SZ, and then compare the W7J when it comes out.
I personaly thot about the Sony SZ because i wanted dual Gpu for batterylife when at school, then gaming at home. But i looked at the price and ran away. LOL
Then came the almighty W3J!!, a little expensive tho, but good because of the modular bay battery that it has and that could give me about 4+ hours on low settings
Right now the W3J is on top of my list of things to buy beacuse of the modular bay battery, but one thing i don't like is no DVI =\. The only Model that has dvi in a small package is the A8jm which i like too.
the W7j is nice because of the nice price at 1500 USD give or take 200, because it depends on when it shipped and the final price of it.
I suggest the W3J with a modular bay battery and if you really really need DVI go with an a8jm, but if need you need to save money but still wanna game, go with the W7J.
Hope this helps.
If you got anymore questions, please ask
Thanks,

If you are interested in the sony sz you should get the Asus W7 its prob gonna be 1499. there really are no stores for you to look at them at. But i can tell you the w3j and w7 are much better build than any sony notebook.

speaking of the Sony SZ.. it has one of the worst feeling keyboards I've ever used. it's not the amount of flex..but rather.. just the odd feel of it all together. I highly suggest people try typing on it first before considering it

I agree i tried the SZ in the store the keyboard is just strange. I cant understand why they would make it feel that way.

LOL! i din't know that he SZ keyboard was that bad, i thot the flex would be the most of it's problem, i guess not .. =\
Why can't there be computer shows in NA so that people can see these laptops....booo asian + european world gets all these computer shows.
ohwell, get the W7J for budget but amazing build quality and performance, or go wtihthe W3J which also has amazing build quality but a better GPU and modular bay.
Thanks,

I owned an sz120 and it had the worst keyboard I have ever used..very strange. I ordered an a8jm from portable one..thanks to Victor for hammering out the details and getting it shipped same day. I will have it tomorrow. I almost bought the w3j from geared to play, but they bumped their price up $100 from $1699 to $1799 since last week(supply and demand I suppose) so that made my decision easy. Can't wait to get it.
