Looks like a Germany-only model? I have not heard of it myself...

If it has been introduced say second-half 2007 or later, chances are 99% it's SATA.

Hmm with a T2XX series processor it can also be a 2006 model. Which may mean it has PATA. So I can't tell. If there are resellers who sell this model, why not email/call them to find out?

AFAIK since its based on the Santa Rosa platform, it should be PATA. If it were Centrino 2, then SATA.

I think there were also Santa Rosa notebooks with SATA.
Besides the T2xx series processors are older than SantaRosa right? They are from the original Core Duo generation.

Lets make it simple with optical drives...

Napa = totally PATA, no exceptions.
Santa Rosa = PATA, maybe there are SATA exceptions but unlikely.
Centrino 2 = SATA, a few PATA exceptions could exist.

T2*** can easily mean T2310/2330/2370/2390/2410, which are Santa Rosa. Besides, if you Google PRO71L, it lists at least one of the processors, which I brought out.
