I bought my asus laptop december last year, ever since i bought it shuts down at random times.

Whatever im doing, playing games and reading the forums etc a blackish line about 5mm thick appears straight on the screen (different places everytime) and then just completely shuts off.

When i turn it back on it says the system has failed and sometimes i get a BlueScreen (bad)

It can get really irritating at times espicially if im doing work on the computer.

Im pretty sure its not because of overheating cos wen i get home i get on the laptop for about 10 mins and sometimes it does it.

I cannot take my laptop in as i have no serial number.

    Any solutions guys? Thanks :)

    Try reseating your hardware?

Testing with various components in and out?
