Hey all, first post here. I'm very technically adept, but not familiar with the components that comprise a touchscreen setup, so I'm looking for help.

A couple of weeks ago, my 2 year old daughter knocked my Q301LA off of the bedside table onto the floor. From that moment forward, the touchscreen has no longer registered any touch contact. The screen displays just fine but the touchscreen part no longer works. I took the bottom cover off of the laptop to ensure that a cable didn't disconnect from the motherboard and nothing appeared to have disconnected. I removed and reseated the main video cable from the motherboard but it made no difference.

Where should I dive in next in an attempt to repair this myself?

    Thanks for any insight.
