EDIT: SOLVED. Action: Installed lastest BIOS update.

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for advice. A buddy of mine gave me his Q400a because it wouldn't turn on. I diagnosed the issue to the motherboard and bought a used one off of ebay.

Everything works with my fresh install of windows 7 with the exception of a few F-keys. Namely the audio, keyboard back-light, and touch-pad disable keys. I know the back-light works because when the laptop first starts they go full brightness for a second then turn off.

I got most of my drivers from this site:
    http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/asus/laptops-desktops/q400a/2483

I've used up all my tricks and have no idea how to get these to work and could use some help if anyone knows what to do! Thanks!
