    I have a Asus Q500A I got at BestBuy.
It's actually pretty awesome and runs smooth.
I do wonder what model this really is though.
    Anyone know?

Hope this comp lasts a while. It's my 1st core i5 3rd gen laptop I usually get i7.

I don't exactly understand your question. Are you asking what is the Asus manufacturing code of the chassis?

I really dig the design and feel of the Q500A. I stopped by BB two times just to get a feel for it. My only gripe is I wish it was: 17.3" version, i7 (only 14" now), and discrete Nvidia card. I wouldn't mind shelling a few hundred more for those features. I'll have to wait and see if Asus has plans to release something similar to what I listed.

What was asking if this model number was retail model number or what it actually was. I remember seeing R500A and thought it was a K55A under the model R500A.
Was not sure if Q500A was it's actual model number but I think it was.

I got this after owning Asus I like the quality and durable feeling it has.
The keyboard got me sold, love the feel. And after comparing the screen to my 1080p B156HW01 v4 I saw it was not that bad it was pretty clear for a 720P glossy and I usually like matte.
It runs really smooth too. I don't usually buy laptops from best buy but this is my favorite. I really like the feel/looks. I am typing this from a P150em powerhouse w/gtx 680m too.

If it has a i7, at least GTX 650m, 1080 matte touchscreen it be perfect. I could do without the touchscreen though.

Nice setup. I was contemplating pruchasing a Clevo/Sager P9170EM w/ nvidia card but i can't justify the price. I just want a simple laptop with decent discrete GPU, quad core processor, and expandability upgrades like how Clevo laptops offer.

I'm looking for something like this:
    Lenovo Ideapad y580

    I owned the Y580 it's pretty awesome. I didn't do so when I OCed the 660m though.
    I have the P150em it's nice.
