I called Asus for my UX31 last Tuesday and got a RMA number. I shipped the device back last Wednesday and it was delievered the next day. However, when I tried to check the status of my RMA, it says no such record. I called Asus, they couldn't find it either. I have the email from Asus that showed the RMA number but they now say the number can not be found? What the *$#%. Anyone else has the similar issue?

That is odd that they would just lose the RMA number. Have you sent them back the email they sent to you that clearly states your RMA? Are they able to locate the machine at least?

I dont know how Asus handles their RMA for the notebook department but for their tablet (Transformer) its a joke. I sent in my tablet for a screen repair and it was sitting at the Texas faculty for about 3 weeks "waiting for parts" I heard stories about Asus misplace or lost customers's tablets, accusing customers of damaging their tablet when it was sent in for repair at their Texas faculty. I pray to God if my UX31 goes bad it does not end up at the Texas faculty. Call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor.

Thanks guys. I called again (4th time) today and was told they received my laptop and assigned a new RMA number. It's now being repaired. Dunno how long it'll take to get it back but at least it's not lost.
