I have got this Asus ROG GL502VM a few days ago --- Asus refurbished , everything woks fine except backlit keypad with no light, tried ATK driver from Asus website, tried windows OS re-install even tried Bios update , also double checked the LED cable is in properly, still with no luck. The backlit keyboard just no light .
I heard that sometimes when the motherboard got replaced, the backlit keyboard firmware the need to be upgraded?
In the past, I had similar backlit kb issue on the old Asus N series but i fixed it by updating the backlit kb firmware, just wondering is there anybody who can tell me where to download the newest keyboard firmware and what to do? many thanks in advance...

Did you check to make sure the keyboard brightness isn't simply dimmed?

first of all, do the power button and caps lock keys have a light?
if they do, that probably rules out a hardware issue.
