hey guys....
so due to a virus of some sort --- i was forced to utilize the recovery cd's that came with my w2jb ---
after going through the reinstall process -- my comp has ended up NOT the same as when i first got it? i thought the recovery cd's were supposed to make your computer just like it was when it came from asus? am i wrong in
thinking that?
some of the utilities/programs/etc...that used to be there, are no longer....
anyone familiar with asus recovery.....any/all help is greatly appreciated.....

Hmmm, what is missing?
Did you do the correct steps?
Pretty much, boot with Recovery CD1, then put in CD2 when prompted, then the drivers CD when prompted. Take out CD when prompted, let Windows do its thing, then boot it up, and then 'Reseal' it.
Should be fine. If somethings missing it should be on the drivers CD. -
Yes, for my a8jm after recovering (darn* VISTA!) you actually have to go reinstall a number of drivers of your drivers CD. The initial use of the drivers cd will only install drivers necessary for Windows to run. The rest (wireless, ATK etc) will need to be installed later.
Asus Recovery help.....please!
