I've got an old, but still working S5200n that has recently developed a ndis.sys BSD problem (WinXP) on bootup. I have narrowed it down to the wireless card -- by disabling the built-in wireless in the bios the problem goes away.

I'm not sure if the error is software or hardware related yet, but how likely is it that a wireless card breaks or becomes unseated (I don't know if it's even removable)?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
