    Asus S96S BIOS version 2.05 Please READ!!!!!!

    I just got off the phone with Intel. Their latest version of the As mobile S96S bios revision 2.05 has a known issue with messing up Firewire drivers in device manager (1394 net adapter and OHCI IEEE compliant host controller.) DO NOT update to that version.

    EBE- I told you I dont give up until I find out what is going on. :)

    Intel is aware of this issue and is recommending not to update the BIOS on this laptop or wait for their next release.

    They are sending out a new laptop to replace mine.

    I had exactly the same problem with v117 too, so I don't think this is specific to v205. But yeah, something is just plain wrong with v205 because the fan is kicking in too many times.
