I am looking at the m50sv and the f8sn models since they are 15.4" and 14.1", which are ideal sizes for me. How do these screens compare to say, The macbook pro or the HP or Sony screens at an electronics store? Are they still using screens as bad as the one on the s96j? I didn't know they still manufactured screens that terrible. What about the quality gap between the v6va? I am currently typing this post on a v6va so my screen standards are understandably rather high. I actually don't care much about resolution as I will end up changing it down to 1280x800 anyway. What I do care about, however, is viewing angles, contrast, colors, light bleeding, graininess, and a uniform looking screen. Brightness is secondary as I don't really need a very bright screen.

I need to get a feel of these two laptop screens (m50sv and f8sn) or any other Asus laptops that might have better screens so that I don't end up with buyer's remorse, finding out that my next laptop upgrade boosted overall performance but stabbed the display about 46 times in the back. I hope someone can oblige.
