I was just wondering if anyone has compared the differenct screens between models specifically the A8Jc and A6Jc?

I ask because i read a post where someone said the A8J screen is better than the W3, but then in a review i read it said the A7 screen is better than the W5 which is better than the W3.

So basically, have any A8J owners been able to compare their screens to other models?

I believe the A8 and W3J use the same screens. There's not too many 14.1" widescreen models out there. a 15.4" screen will generally have better viewing angles than a 14.1".

The both A8j and W3j almost the same screen and come with Splendid video features, so far no any 14.1" models have this.

Hm... I've seen a6j, w3z and a8j screens before, so maybe I can help u a little bit with this... I think a8j screen is brighter than a6j, even brighter than w3z, but the a6j is has more viewing angle. but a8j's viewing angle is still better than w3z. Hm.. and then, I noticed that the lower part of the monitor (maybe there is a "lamp" inside ) of a8j isn't as hot as the w3 model.

I will be using the laptop head on all the time so im not considering viewing angles - when is viewing angle important? How do you find the 14" screen? Im used to my 15" XGA and im thinking of getting the A8 - hence im asking a few questions about it.

    Thanks Tjun.

Personally viewing angle is only really important if you have more than one person looking at the screen. otherwise its a pretty simple job of just adjusting the tilt slightly to suit your needs. I was in the shop the other day and found the A7 screen to be very very nice...it was next to a sony and I couldnt pick which was better. The A8 was also quite nice had decent viewing angles, but was not as nice as the 13'3 sony sitting next to it...sony just seemed abit crisper and brighter, and better viewing angles. Not to say the A8 was bad, in comparison to my M2n that Im using now, its miles ahead.
Unfortunately there wasnt a w3 to do a direct comparison
