I was at CES last week and missed this, but someone took pictures of an Asus Tablet PC (dual core, hot!) and posted them to a site here: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=31852, Justin/Eddie or any of you guys in the loop -- do you have any specs or word from Asus on this machine? Any info would be great :)

Well they announced their first tablet at cebit what seems like 4 plus years ago with the original tablet os release......... sometimes their conservative way sort of stink... but with something like this, if they released the original one when they did it would have bombed because even today people don't understand what a tablet can do. Personally I'm not a fan of the convertables but this is a good first step towards a slate which honestly is hard to convert people to...... but once they use one for a month or so, they say they'll never go back to a laptop.......

    ... we'll see what happens.

Well it's going to be basically the cost of a W3v I would assume......... figure it's about the same size, but it won't have dedicated graphics........ however the touchscreen costs a lot more, so it may balance out.... if the unit comes in around 2 grand I think it would be very sucessful.... but if they plan on using a top end cpu, that might be pushing it.

It's still coming..... the US office has some demos they're working with.... the final fit and finish weren't evens settled last I heard....

... and one thing you can bet on with the origami model... the picture Andrew took is an EARLY engineering sample... it'll look beautiful... all Asus' Pocket PCs they're ever shown at a show - look like junk...... the final products however are awesome.
