    I would like to know if anybody is experiencing their Asus Taichi21 i7 tablet mode not working after Windows 8.1 update?

    The error message I get is sunpluscaller.exe stopped working.

    I did get the new Asus Close Lid critical update.

    At this point I am ready to restore my system back to its original state through the recovery mode.

    Yup, exact same problem here.
    Windows update to 8.1 now table mode not working.
    I accepted the critical update for Asus Close Lid then manually updated to latest Asus Home and Display Control.
    Currently, if I select Table Mode, it gives me an 800x600 desktop on my main screen, not the back one.
    Out of ideas.... let me know if you have any successes.

    I just noticed this issue is also being discussed in the Taichi Owner's Lounge on this forum. Apparently Asus has been aware of this bug for several months according to one post.

    For me this is unfortunate since I primarily use my Taichi tablet as an e-reader so I don't have to carry a laptop and iPad. I hope there is a fix soon otherwise it's pretty useless to me.

    I'm going to try downgrading the intel video drivers as suggested in the owners lounge thread.
    Will report back tomorrow after I give it a go, they seem to have had some success...

    I had the same problem. I finally updated the Bios and the tablet started working again. How ever it wont switch to tablet mode when I close the lid. I have to select it each time, trying to find a close lid fix.
