Does anyone have any information/reviews of this Asus? I'm looking for a lightweight, small, powerful laptop for school, and this seems to fit the bill.

Also, do you think the machine is powerful enough to run modern games on low settings? I know there is a dedicated graphics card, but I'm assuming the processor will limit its abilities. I know this isn't a gaming machine, just wondering. It's tempting to go with the Asus U46-BAL5 just because the specs are better, but I'm not sure if I want to trade off for the slight weight/size increase, the worse battery life, and no dedicated graphics card. Thoughts?

Just got the U31SD-AH51... nearly the same price with the $75 gift card... and has the Core i5 and a bigger HD... definitely would go with the AH51. For a 'school computer' with light gaming I think it is the best deal out there. Bought for my son in college and daughter in high school... both love it. (I reviewed on Amazon if you want a full review). Have played Dragon Age II on it and it ran with moderate settings w/o a hitch... looks/plays great. Haven't tried anything newer. Happy to provide more targeted info if desired. Bottom line... if you wanted to spend $1k+ there are much nicer options out there, but if you are looking to stay in the $600 range for a light laptop with great battery life... I'd go for it.

I am also in the market for a college laptop: 13'', lightweight and kinda powerful, but no gaming intended.

Any more opinions on the Asus U31SD-AH31/AH51 ??

OP, did you end up getting that one?
