Core i7? Those monster core i-7 in a so-called eco friendly low power consumption 13.3 inch ultra portable wanna be laptop? Are you crazy Asus? OR did you just try not not block UL30JT?

AFAIK, the i7-640UM is the next step for the CULV platform - so it uses much less power than the rest of the i7 line.

Not sure... but I really want a new notebook. The UL30VT didn't make it here in NZ and the UL30 isn't too common, so I either have to buy a Macbook Pro or sit and wait for the U33JT and hope it arrives here and isn't priced skyhigh.

The last bamboo series was really pricey if I remember correctly.

    Yes it was.
If you can get over how much it costs it's a great looking laptop with equally good performance.

Core i7 is both dual core and quad core, ranging from 18W (for the 640UM) to 45W (for a quad core).

I haven't seen any clear indication yet when it will be available. I hear the new CULV cpus are not in mass production yet so maybe it will be a while...

A shame Asus doesn't do what Apple does and announce the product with either availability right away or with a clear release date.

I really like this notebook. Wish there was 330 graphics instead of 310s :/
