I have an Asus u35j for more than half a year, for the past few month the computer would sometimes hangup after logging into windows.
That is, after the welcome screen and I typed the password, the desktop would not load. Sometimes, the screen is entirely black and the only thing i see is my mouse cursor, at other times the desktop partially loads but freezes. I can tell when it freezes and stop loading because the hard drive light stop blinking.
I am inclined to think it is a software problem, because my mouse would still work and move, but nothing else loads. Sometimes, I can see my desktop icons and I can click on them, but when I do it freezes completely.
Furthermore, the computer sometimes just freezes after 30-60 mins of use, and this is a complete hangup as nothing will respond.

Been trying to find out what the problem was for quite sometime, help?
