    Hi All...

I have fitted an SSD, and done a clean install of Win7. Everything is running fine, however I can not get the Bluetooth to work at all.

The error I get is: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Windows also constantly wants to load the generic BT driver. I can not load the Asus driver package, as it complains that it can not find a BT device. Have I missed something, or damaged something installing the SSD..??? I do not even 100% know what the correct driver is..!!!

Any help would be most appreciated.

Go to device manager to see if there is errors on the bluetooth device, also you can try right click on the bluetooth to disable it and renable and make sure you did install the intel chipset drivers.

    Thanks for the reply.

The error in Device Manager is: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

The Intel chipset drivers have been installed.

    Enable/disable has no effect.

Maybe you can try format your hard drive and install Windows again and then install the Intel chipset drivers first.

I just restored the OEM Win7 OS. The issue is that the BT drivers are NOT Broadcomm, but actually Atheros.

Where the heck do I find those drivers? The only one I can find are Broadcomm.

If you're sure the BT module is Atheros, try look for the driver on the Asus support website. They should have it there.

    The BT module is Atheros.

It turns out that the driver you need to install is an Atheros WLAN driver that incorporates the BT driver as well...!!! Like I knew that..!!!

Anyway, a full clean install is done and everything is 100% OK.
