Hello everyone
I have recently performed an exchange of the HDD in the U36SD model for a SSD. While I did this I made a scratch on a component on the motherboard (this happend because I had to cut the glue that held the keyboard to the component. No guide taking apart the U36SD mentions this glue)
So, the issue after the exchange is that the computer is functioning, and can run performance tests that puts it within normal operation. The problem is that it takes forever to open the diagnostics tool, but once it runs the computer will respond flawlessly in that program. Opening new programs will still take a long time.
Another diagnostic is that if a remote-desktop is opened the application will run fine on the computer. Windows open fast in citrix etc.
I have installed everest to try and pinpoint the issue. In Everest the "motherboard" tab says that the motharboard ID and make is "unknown". Is the only way to move forward to replace the motherboard, and is that even feasible in this type of laptop (for a newcomer to the hardware-replacement field)
Thank you for any response.
