Am running Windows 7 on my Asus U36 laptop.

Turned the laptop off for the night, nothing unusual. Turned it back on in the morning and everythgin works apart from the mouse click buttons.
I thought maybe the small ribbon cable had come loose or something but its fine. Here's the strange thing, the trackpad works and the mouse pointer moves but not only do the right and left click buttons not work but when i tap on the track pad that doesn't work either! but the track pad works to move the pointer around

All works ok with a USB mouse and cant see any other problems at all .

    Any help appreciated
