As a US resident I recently got an Asus U41-JF. I'm moving to England soon and the U41 will become my primary computer. I'm looking for the power brick that connects the computer to the wall and charges the battery - but it seems the U41 doesn't exist in the UK. I haven't yet found a general plug adapter that accepts grounded 3-prong US plugs to adapt to the European plugs. The only ones I've found are bulky, expensive power converters which I don't need.
If I buy something like this I should be able to simply use the cord that connects from the wall to the brick, while using my existing brick, right? The plug shape (into the brick) looks the same.

Any other ideas?

BS 1363 to C5 cable should do fine. Your exisiting AC adapter should be able to handle 240V.

Like AllurGroceries said the brick itself should be fine.
All you have to do is get the generic cable with the UK prongs. (This is the cable that plugs into your brick to the wall. -
Ah, that helps, knowing the proper name of each plug. Should make it easier to find when I get over there. Thanks!

Personally, i wouldn't put my faith in just changing the supply lead. Not without testing it on something other than my laptop anyway!
The voltage in the UK and most of Europe is roughly double the US. The other main problem is the frequency of the supplied power, 60 vs 50Hz. A lot of electrical/electronic equipment cannot tolerate that kind of difference in power supply. If your adapter even works here, it may run hotter and noiser.
You might just want to get a generic UK/European laptop power brick when you get here instead.

@GremlinUK
On almost anything these days, if you look at the AC adapter itself it says it can accept 120/240V AC. There is no danger. -
Welcome to the UK buddy!
I got my N43 imported from the US and went to a store here in the UK called Maplin to get my UK Powerlead (wall to brick). Used the US brick that came with lappy,did not affect my N43 badly in any way.
The bricks are designed nowadays to accept different power currents. -
I actually prefer the us plug for traveling. Because it is much smaller than UK plugs which are massive.
You will ring most mobile electronics these days are dual voltage,
