    Hi,

    I have tried:
    - Driver Update/Downgrade
    - V-sync on off, Nvidia settings.

But I still can't get rid of screen tearing.

    Any suggestions?

its on nearly all videos using the GT310M. The Integrated GPU is just too weak to play 1080p Videos. Like Planet Earth Series. and I am using this laptop with a 1080P beamer to project Documentaries and Nice Planet earth Videos.

Any Suggestions are welcome. I JUST HATE tearing. you tend to watch the tearing instead of the Movie, which is missing the point.

    Thanks

Are one or two screens connected at the same time? What program are you using to play the videos? Is Aero enabled or disabled?

    - 1 screen (screen or beamer) to save Batterie I switch the other off.
    - Windows Media Player & MPC HC 1.5.0.2827. using Nvidia GPU
Now I play low quality via WMP (witch is set to NOT use Nvidia GPU)
and HQ videos using MPC HC which uses Nvidia GPU good. but that's where Tearing is just unbearable.

Is Aero on or off? (the transparency and 3D Flip when you press Windows Key + Tab)

Turn it on and tearing should be removed.

If you don't want to, you can set the EVR, Overlay Mixer, or VMR7(windowed) video renderer in MPC-HC. (View-> Options-> Output)

    - Wow!!! Its like it was never there.....
I don't understand the logic but IT WORKS!!!!

    - I disabled Aero because I thought I might get a bit more battery life + it feels more snappier. but I have never really tested it (its in my mind.)
    - Aero is also beautiful and my laptop can handle it. (going from 48 Services to 50.. Not a problem)

    - THANKS A MILLION!..... :)

    - I will look for review about "With Aero and Without" what does it do to battery life.... and performance... and IF its bad for both I will apply your second option.

LOL "IF" I knew it was that simple....lol

Aero is like VSync over the whole desktop.

However you will have stuttering issues if you have two monitors connected that are set at different refresh rates. (e.g. 60Hz and 72Hz)

May I apply your know-how once more?

My Battery isn't showing 10 hours any more. which makes me think Aero is more demanding then I thought. So I tried your other options, but now Nvidia isn't kicking in.
which isn't very smooth with 1080P Matroska videos. I haven't connected yet to a beamer, but I feel its going to be a bit worse.

    Any new advices?
I want to use my GT310M but not have Tearing.

The GT310M will be more of a power drain than Aero.

For DXVA, you will need to use EVR-Custom Pres, or EVR Sync. I don't know if Optimus can do DXVA on the Intel GPU which would best for battery life.

I think, try use EVR-Custom Pres with Aero on and compare to Aero off and with the following set: View-> Renderer-> Reset-> Optimal.
I believe enabling Aero with EVR-Custom Pres will be the easiest setting.
