    Asus U46S - is this the newest model?

    My friend picked up this notebook from a local Office Depot and I really liked the build quality. However, I am unsure if this is the newest model out, because I've seen some with different letters at the end, such as the U46E. His is the 14" model.

    Yeah from the looks of it, it should be brushed metal. It looks like it may have a backlit keyboard too. Check out the links in the thread above.

    The latest U46 series is the U46SM, Which I picked up 6 weeks ago. It is an awesome system. The only thing I wish it had was the backlit keyboard. So if the U47 will have that for sure... it might be worth several months of waiting. If not, check out xoticpc.com for the U46SM and spec it out a bit above the stock to make it a portable workstation.
