    What is in box

In box you can find speakers, usb cable and manual. Dimensions and weight of this device make it portable. It fits my laptop backpack, so I can travel with it. Also you do not need AC adaptop to powerup that divece, it's powered through USB. That criteria is very important to me, because I am traveling a lot. Buit quality is exelent, as everything from Asus.

    Testing

I was impressed with that device. It can produce good quality sound. It is HUGE improvement over buit-in laptop speakers. There is subwoofer in it, so you can watch movies, listen music and play games with pleasure. Subwoofer gives more bass that other subs installed in laptops. Volume level of that device approximatly 3 times higher that built-in laptop speakers. Of cource it can not compete with desctop 2.1 system, but you should keep in mind that it's completly another class. And for its class it performes exellent. Highs and mids are played flawlessly, lack of lows is explained with it's spec. But, again, it's huge difference between that and laptops speakers. If you are feeling that you need some bass from your laptop and you have lack of sapce or traveling a lot, that device will give you what you want.
My mark 9 of 10. :D Way to go Asus!

Nice, I've been looking for something like this. No mess of wires and USB powered.

Are there any volume controls on the unit or do you control that from the laptop?

Hmmm, interesting but I'd doubtful of the power it'll output, mainly cause USB doesn't output much power. However it looks nice, though doesn't seem portable. Granted, I'm a headphone person and not a speaker person :p

As I said it can not be compared with desktop 2.1 system. For it's class it performs exellent. You should listen to it to understand. About portability, wieght of that device is only 400g as ohters ftom that class starts from 1kg. If you are traveling alone heaphones will be the best option, but if you want to watch movie with your friends, UboomQ will be what you need.

I bought it from authorised Asus reseller in my region.(I am from Kazakhstan)
You should look for them at your region resellers.
No, there is no volume control on it. It's not a problem for me, because I have hotkeys on laptop to decrease and increase volume without quitting the applocatopns.

    Price is around 45-65$

I've made short video of UboomQ misuc playback. Quality of viseo is poor because I made it with my mobile phone, but audio quality is acceptable.

Looking at spec of Logotech Audiohub, I can say that audiohub will outperform UboomQ but it's only on paper.I didn't hear sound from Logitec audiohub. I should mention that Audiohub requires additional AC adaptor and Audiohub's weight 7.5 times more that UboomQ.(400g against 3.5kg)

Do you still get audio from your notebook speakers in addition to the UBoomQ? How do the audio levels compare?

Nice, I like the look of that.

So where do you put the speakers? Behind the notebook?
