    Asus UL30JT with USB 3.0?

    I just bought the UL30JT and the every spec sheet says 3x USB 2.0 ports as in the Asus website. I just started updating drivers downloading the latest versions from the Asus website and the one for USB says USB3.0 Driver.

    Should I install this? Does this laptop has support for USB 3.0 or these drivers don't mean anything?

    One way to check is USB3 uses a color coded connector with blue on the inside. Check that out. If you have one then you have USB 3 if not then I would say no.

    A quick check on Asus web site shows no USB 3, but spec's are always subject to change.

    Then I would not install the driver. Your machine seems to match up with what Asus says on it's website, which is no USB3.
