    David,

Thanks for the guide was pretty useful disasembling an ul30a-x5 and reassembling it.

Only thing that did had trouble was the ribbons below the keyboard, inserting is fairly easy once you know you need to pull the extra black casing, this allows the ribbon to enter fully and to be secured, i wasnt familiar with this, so took some tries, but overall working great.

    Thanks for the guide.

    Hi, Thanks for the guide.
I just tried to open my ul30vt to clean off some dust buildup but was unable to pick the keyboard part. The panel does not seem to give in to pressure so i gave up. Perhaps i was too gentle on it so i want to ask how deep i should dig into those latches and if it's ok to jerk the panel a bit?
Is there any particular order in which to pull? Does it help to insert some kind of stick in one latch as support and then pull a neighboring latch?

    Any tip is appreciated.
    Thanks.

By the way, it's not necessary to separate the display panel from the laptop base in order to replace the LCD screen. It can be done while the display still connected to the laptop base.
