I recently bought a refurbished Asus UL50VT lap. I think the batch has some problems because the first one had shutdown issue and second one had harddrive issue and I'm now on my third exchange. This one works fine, but is significantly louder than the previous 2. I emailed support and they told me to update the Intel INF file, which didnt work. This unit now turns on full fan speed when I'm playing a flash game, and the bottom isn't even warm. Is there a way I can somehow tone down the fan, because I can't find that option in my BIOS and I dont think SpeedFan supports it (my fan doesnt show up on SF)

    Thank you!
