My asus notebook has been experiencing some issues with its wifi antenna or w/e its called. What happens is that after a certain period of time, it loses connection. Ive tried restarting it by pressing fn+f2 but to no avail. It normally gets fixed after I restart my notebook but turns on with wifi being off so I have to again press Fn f2 to get it working again, and again after a certain period of time, it loses wifi connection even though wifi is on. It just says there are no connections and its not connected.

I dont feel like sending it to asus even though its still under warranty because they normally take their time and I need it working now, I could just used a USB adapter but then whats the point of it when it has wifi card inside. I already updated the drivers via the downloads in their support page.

    Any idea whats going one?

Also, even on express gate, it experinces the same thing. The internet is working fine, but after a certain amount of time, it loses connection and cannot find a source.

I believe the internal wifi card is broken but I am not a computer expert so not sure, anyway, any idea what could be wrong with it?

This has been discussed already: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/450197-asus-ul80jt-info-34.html

people have had luck with the lastest drivers from atheros.cz , myself included. also, go through the steps outlined in the above thread to further improve your chances at a "working" wi-fi. still not perfect but works 95% of the time now...
