For anyone with an Asus laptop in the US who has had to get it serviced -- how would you rate the warranty support?

If things break, are you forced to send the whole laptop to them, or are they using on-site repairs? I'm strongly considering an ASUS, but am worried about flaky tech support and warranty repairs.

I might just be spoiled after having a 3-year on-site warranty from Dell last time.

I don't have an Asus. But from what I heard, the support is rated fairly well.

Generally, ASUS N.A. have a pretty good track sheet, there has been some issues regarding battery problems, but they've been in the process of solving(They don't manufacture the battery, so I can't really blame them).

They overnight ship back to their service center and then overnight it back to you when it's repaired, so says their website the last time I checked.
