Thought I would make a separate post for this as I was getting tired of wading through pages and pages of posts in the UX31 post. If mod thinks this is inappropriate, then he/she can move it.
I was interested in the UX21 when it was available, but was waiting on a review of it first. Here is one from Notebook check that is pretty thorough.

    Hello,

I'm seeking help regarding purchase of a UX21. I currently use a Sony Vaio Z (VPCZ1290X with i7 M620 @2.67GHz, 4gb ram, 1080p screen, and 250gb SSD), mostly for note taking, web surfing, and emailing (with a little light Photoshop essentials use and video streaming). I'm thinking about selling this and purchasing a UX21 instead. I never use the DVD drive and would like something thinner/lighter--and the UX21 is just so pretty!

What I'm wondering is, will I notice a significant decrease in performance in swapping this Z for the UX21 (with 4gb ram, i5 processer option, 128gb SSD)? I'm prone to leaving lots of windows/tabs open, and I typically use my computer with a 25" external monitor when at home--if that matters. Ultimately I figure I'd be selling my Z for somewhere around $1000 (a sad price considering I purchased the machine for $2800 less than 1.5yrs ago) and purchasing the UX21 for about $900--so essentially almost trading even. Seem dumb? Good idea?

Thanks so much for any help! I'm really struggling with this!
