    Hey guys,

I was sure I was getting the the UX301LA, but than I saw the 303LN which has a higher res display, the better graphics, but lacks the i7 u4558u in the 301LA and the battery is much smaller.
So what is Asus's flagship? the 303LN or the 301LA?

And how does the recently announced 305 compare? Isn't the Core M Y series a slower CPU?

From what I have read, the 303 is the new flagship ultrabook. The 305 appears to be a low voltage, low power consumption and resulting low performance ultrabook. It will most likely not have a fan because of the low TDP. It also has a smaller battery, so I am not sure what battery life it will have. I am not sure where it falls in the larger scheme of things.

I just noticed the comment on battery size. Both the UX301LA and the UX303LA&LN have 50 Wh batteries.

You need to figure out what you're looking for.
    - UX305 will be an ultra-thin extremely portable laptop for web browsing, editing documents or watching videos. The performance will be mediocre with the core M processor (better than i3-4000U but worse than i5-4200U but will use a lot less power).
    - UX303LN is a little thicker but can run modern games at decent quality.
    - UX301LA is a bit pointless in my opinion, it costs more than the UX303LN but has lower performance in games. The much cheaper UX303LA would be a better choice if you want a non-gaming laptop in my opinion.

It all depends on whether you want portability sacrificing performance or vice versa.

Well the UX303 series just came to stores around a month ago (LN is the high-res dedicated graphics model and LA is the non-gaming model with a good1080p display).

Of course there's always the next best thing coming out in a few months. Probably the next version will come out around January when the next gen processors come out at the end of this year. Intel refreshes their processor line-up every year so I wouldn't really recommend waiting for the updates if you need the laptop.

I'd love some advice on this as I'm looking at the same models. What would be the best on for photo editing (photoshop, lightroom), surfing, watching videos/movies and word processing stuff? I don't care about the price, so I was looking at the ux301la-xh72t. Is that a bad choice?
