Hey guys,
Can anyone recommend a decent site to purchase the Asus UX31 265GB model from? I can barely find the 138GB model, but the 265GB model seems to be a myth in the UK.
The only site I found was something like "portagadget", which, after some light research, appears to be a fraudulent site.
Thanks in advance, guys.

Have you looked at the where to buy link on this site: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ?

Hey Josea, yeah, I tried that site, and it did indeed link a bunch of sites, but only stocking either the UX21 or the UX31 with 128GB SSD. You think it'd kill Asus to have an official store...
Thanks for the suggestion though. -
No problem, their site has historically not been up to date, but seems to have improved recently. They used to have a notebook forum but it became unavailable about 1 year ago. I am sure someone will respond here to help better than I did, the members here ROCK!

They have an official store, but it only seems to stock accessories and refurbs. Seriously, you'd think a somewhat "new" brand like Asus would be doing everything it could to establish itself further. I'm no business CEO, but I thought that making your product available for consumers to buy would be a good step. It's the UK, not friggin' Afghanistan!
I agree with your latter point, this forum has provided an excellent read in the UX31 thread. -
Well, Asus is far from being a new brand and the way they see things, they do not need their own store as their notebooks are being pushed by many retailers, at least in North America.
Your best bet would be to find an Asus retailer, they have a list somewhere on their website i i recall correctly and ask the retailer if they can order the UX31 for you. That is what i did with my university's computer store when i got my G73, they didn't carry it in stock, but it didn't prevent them from ordering one for me. -
I meant new in comparison to Sony, Toshiba, IBM (or Lenovo now), etc.
After finally finishing my read of the massive UX31 thread, I think I will "settle" for the 128GB model because the 256GB model has its SSD made by the apparently inferior Sandisk.
Cheers, for the suggestion about asking a retailer to order in for me. I just might have to do that, seeing as how the UK seems to be a barren landscape for laptop manufacturers. -
I do not think a UK 256gb versions exists.
DSG group is the ONLY uk entity with stock. I think this is intentional.
