Hi, firstly I would like to say sorry for creating a new thread, but I do not want to go back dozens of pages to find the answer, and I am sure others in my position wouldn't either so here we go!

I have been told to get an 8gb ram stick and 256gb ssd to go with my UX32VD purchase.

    But which ram and ssd?

This is what I have in my sights right now.

    Ram:
    Corsair Vengeance Laptop Memory Module 8 GB (1x8 GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL10 PC3 12800 (CMSX8GX3M1A1600C10)

    http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Venge...&sr=8-2&keywords=corsair+vengeance+8gb+sodimm

    or
    Patriot Memory Signature DDR3 8GB 1600MHz SODIMM (PC3 12800) PSD38G16002S

    http://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Memor...1342979040&sr=1-1&keywords=patriot+8gb+sodimm

    Newegg.com - Patriot Signature 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model PSD38G16002S
    (cheaper on newegg)

    SSD:
    Crucial 256 GB m4 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s CT256M4SSD1

    Amazon.com: Crucial 256 GB m4 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s CT256M4SSD1: Electronics

The question here, I am sure others are wondering too. Whether to get the ram stick with the Corsair being at CS10 or the Patriot being CS11?

I read somewhere that somebody said it will run down to 1333mhz regardless of CS11 or CS10?

    Thanks guys!

    i use this memory: G.skill SODIMM F3-1600C10S-8GSQ PC3-12800 / DDR3 1600 Mhz 1 x 8GB 10-10-10 1.50 V No HS
    but i recommend to find out 1600Mhz, CL11, 1.35V
    I also use Crucial m4 256GB slim 7mm SSD, but i recommend You to try 512GB :)
    Good luck

That is Cas Latency 10, I will try to find out more about the CL 11. Wouldn't it be best to just buy the CL11? Because it is about the same price as CS10 even though it may run at 1333mhz like the CL10?

Also another question, which would be more ideal? To install the operating system on the iSSD or the full SSD? Which one is faster?

Also I couldn't afford the 512gb, I am just college student, I will be shelling out the extra $ from the 128gb t 256gb because the price value is worth it.

As seen here the speed on the built-in issd "High SATA performance: up to
    450/160 MB/s4 Read/Write Sequential"

I bet the full ssd is quicker, just compare. And go for the CL11 ram.

Ah you are correct the m4 is 500/260 MB/s for Read/Write Sequential. So its better to install on the full SSD and just keep important files backed up twice on the iSSD.

windows 7 pro with updates and hilbernation file... Also some applications took about 45GB of space. I recommend to make on your ssd 2partiotions: 60gigs for OS and another for data/games/documents...
    Enjoy benchmarks:

Ok, so when I purchase it, I will format the iSSD, but why do you recommend a partition of OS and other files? What are the benefits?

I know that many people don't like to do backups. But I usually do backups of windows 7 (activated). If something will go wrong with my software or hardware I always can easily recover.
