I purchased the Asus UX32VD-DB71 in August and while the installed RAM memory was 4GB it only showed 2GB.
I sent it to Asus for support. They replaced the Motherboard and when it came back it still showed only 2GB of RAM.
My suspicion was that they didn't check the "defective" memory module installed in the socket, so I replaced it with an 8GB RAM for a total of 10GB.
It then showed 10GB of RAM installed.
Here is the peculiar part: now when I turn on the computer, sometimes it shows 10GB at other times 2GB. It's intermittent, so I don't know what to expect next.
I am at my wits end... any ideas? Anyone else?
PS - I have screen shots to illustrate my point.

Are you sure they replaced your motherboard? Are you sure they didn't eat a pizza off it then sent it back?

Their report says they did! How would I know? Is Asus support that unreliable??
