This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    considering that webcams cost only $2-$5 , I don't get why they always cheap out to save a couple bucks.

    They even cheaped out by sourcing a ChiMei lcd panel.

    and it looks like they're still not using aluminum unibody chassis.

    Plastic insides epoxied to aluminum shell. Hinge anchor points are again the weak spot.
