    What's the big difference?

I see that they have the same specs.. how much of a quality difference could warrant the $150 price difference?

Carbon fiber + magnesium + plastic as opposed to JUST plastic.

I know the V has a spillproof keyboard. Not sure if the F8 will have that.

the F8 and will have the 8600GT and I'm assuming your talking about the V2S which will ahve the 8600GS (slightly less powerful (many threads about this) but i think it will have the GDDR3. Mentioned above, the V2S will have the spill-proof keyboard and includes a 6-cell and 9-cell battery whereas the F8 will not. And the V2S also looks better.
