    Hi everyone.

I have an Asus V1S with XP installed. XP is running a bit slow and the start up time is much longer than it should be. While trying to figure out what is going on I did a system test at the PCPitStop.com site and it reported problems with my Video Performance. This is what it reports:

TIP > Unusually Low Video Performance

Video performance of this system, 75.49 megapixels per second, is significantly lower than average.

    About Video Performance
Systems with the same processor and amount of memory typically perform at a level of 178 Mp/s. PC Pitstop's video test measures the 2D performance of the video board, which is used to draw windows, icons, and fonts on typical desktop applications such as word processors and browsers. It does not measure the 3D capabilities used by high-end games.

I have the LaptopVideo2Go driver 163.75 with modded inf installed.

    Any Ideas anyone?

    Thanks

There are a few issues with xp and v1s-b1.
    1. fairly hard to actually get the audio driver working
    2. pretty hard to get the vga driver wrking.
Instea dof using whatever util you got there run 3dmark06 and post your score

It's a low score. Get this one, maybe it works better for you.

Thanks for the post michael and sorry but I don't know what the link is for.

If it's for the link to the driver at the nvidia site then I have tried that one today already and it failed to install.

    Thanks

I suggest reverting to stock drivers at least temporarily, and checking performance again. If the problem goes away things are clear: modded drivers at fault.

Otherwise (the problem doesn't go away), try newer modded drivers.

I am currently using laptop2go driver with modded inf version 163.75 which is slightly improved over the latest version which is 165.?.

I can't use the stock driver as i'm running xp and the drivers on the asus site will install on vista only.

    Cheers
