Hi all, I have installed Windows 7 on a partition on my Asus V1S and it whoops Vista's A** thus far.

Windows 7 has built in Biometric functionallity however I have so far not been able to get it to detect my fingerprint reader.

I installed the driver and the device is listed in device manager and when checking the properties it reports the device to be functioning correctly, windows biometric device manager is not seeing it.

Has anyone running Win7 on a V1S or a machine with the same Fingerprint Reader got it working?
I guess it's probably down to Microsoft to extend the compatible devices or something, it is the first beta so I guess this situation may change.

    Regards

If you check the W7 buglist thread you will notice this is a common problem. Also, you will find info about a W7beta Authentec driver that on some laptops works on some it does not.

I think, researching a bit won't kill you next time. Use the search button, check out the W7 section or post in the W7 general discussion. Just because this issue appears on your model, it does not need a separate thread.
