    Nice review, thanks.
Do you think build and screen quality has improved or it remains the same?

Those three hours are practical use hours or just what windows tells you at start and then the battery starts to loose power faster?

the quality remained the same. V1sn histirically was asus elite line of notebooks and still maintains the same integrity.
the 3+ hours is maximum life. average would always be lower

But the original V1s had quite a few problems with the battery and such, if I remember properly. Those are all fixed now, I take it?

I see well I'm in doubt between this laptop and XPS 1530, one of the things that bother me on V1Sn was the battery life, glad to see it improved.

Can you tell me the weight of the laptop. From the reviews I found it goes from 2.7kg to 3kg, wich one is it? Because if it's 3kg it's about 400gr more then XPS.

The battery problem (if we're talking about the same one) was the result of Asus sending teh wrong modular battery with a lot of notebooks >_<

As for battery wear, I don't think most people encountered that to begin with...

I'd watch the video if it wasn't so large delivered by such a slow server.

battery wear issue was reported by a few users here. Not sure what happen with that. I thought it was a few people who didnt liek to see their battery wear. batteries wear. you will not find ones that do not.

I've got my V1sn today and it's great, but I asked with the WXGA+ screen and they sent me the WSXGA+. I liked the extra space, but the screen is a bit grainy. Not enough to be hateful, but enough to annoy you after a while.

My question is do I have any advantage in asking for the WXGA+ screen? do they use better in screens in that resolution? Or is there another manufacturer for the WSXGA+ in asus?

    Thank you

All the V1sn screens in the US have the same resolution, WSXGA+; the only way to get a different resolution screen is to have someone tear it apart and put in a new one, thereby voiding your warranty. It's possible that Asus Europe ordered several different screen resolutions, and you'd have to take that up with your seller if they implied that you could choose the resolution on the unit you ordered.

It's likely that various V1 units might have different LCD manufacturers (i.e. AUO, CMO, etc); however, you cannot request a specific one unless you can find a reseller willing to open a box and check it for you - in which case they now have a unit they have to sell at open box pricing, so quite unlikely that would happen.

Here in Portugal we have two models AK024E with WXGA+ and others with WSXGA+ and AK040E inly with WSXGA+ but with a lower processor.
I've asked the guys if they had the first model with WSXGA+ they said they don't, so I ordered WXGA+. But it cames the higher resolution anyway, which could not be that much of a problem since I think I really would adapt to that resolution.

My question is if it is worth to trade. Because if the WXGA+ screen is as bad, there's no point. Someone here with a none samsung or none grainy WXGA+ or WSXGA+ screen who can confirm that there are better monitors in V1sn models?

    Thank you
