So they call the one of them a gaming laptop and the other a business. But i can't really see the big difference in the specs, only the price, even though that isn't that different either...

The thing i care most about though in this situation is the battery life. It needs pretty much about 2 hours of working, not gaming really, it'll be wired when i'm using it for gaming. The battery for the V1sn is 5200mAh and the G1sn only has 4800mAh. Does it make a worthful difference?
And does vista business and home make a big difference?
    Edit:
I managed to find out that the G1sn has a blu-ray reader, that sounds good.

Anyways, if you can help me with this, i probably don't need any more questions answered.
Oh and by the way, yes i just registered.

They look different (which matters to some), your not going to want be pulling out a gaming laptop for a meeting.

And the G1SN doesn't have the hot swapable drive bay.

Also fingerprint scanner is missing on the G1SN.

The G1 is bulkier/heavier than the V1S. As already said, very different looks (subdued and classy on the V1, which I prefer; gaudy and blinky :) on the G1, which others may prefer).

Supposedly better quality on the V1 since it's a business range notebook; but don't bet on that, there are some complaints about the V1 and overall I think the G1 may even be sturdier.

The difference between main batteries that you mention won't be worth much in real battery life. Note several things w.r.t. batteries:
    - You can add modular batt to V1S, increasing the batt life by smth like 60%
    - The battery problems of the V1S, which are especially dire when modular is added (modular kills main) -- this pretty much negates the earlier advantage
    - HOWEVER, the problems seem to have been fixed with the latest modular battery series; check the V1S battery wear thread.

Hope this is also helpful, and not only confusing :) The bottom line is, if you get the updated batteries with the V1S you should be getting better battery life.

Thanks for that information. So there really isn't any difference in the performance? I just need it for school and gaming, so i'm gonna see microsofts site for the difference between home and business vista. Just checked, seems the difference is small
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/choose.mspx
I mean, since it's the same hardware, it should be able to run the newest games crysis and etc. right? I checked a crysis gameplay test made by some member here on a G1sn and the average 30fps is fine for me.
So in all the V1sn would be the best buy? (it's 100$ less than the G1sn from the site i'm looking at.)

I'm not sure about the diff between GT and GS GPUs but for the rest, the performance seems about the same (CPU, HDD, RAM).

Well, from the site i buy it from it's both gs's, otherwise it's quite a difference actually.

Make sure it's not a typo then (i.e. that the V1S really does have the GS).

Edit: actually I see the V1S has the G1S. Make sure then that indeed the GPU that you want is on the notebook that you want. You can use the asus.com website to get the official specs.

Yeah, i've checked both sites, they are a bit different but i guess the site where i buy it from is most correct, since their version might be a bit different. The 9500GS should be fine for my gaming. I mean, you don't really need over 30 fps on any game, and anyways, 30fps was on crysis with high settings, so i'll do with the V1SN i guess.

Well, thanks a lot for the help all of you, but I've chosen to buy a Zepto 6224w. Modified with 4gb ram, 8600m gt, 200gb 7200rpm drive, T9300.
Was cheaper and lighter and so on.
