Im looking for a notebook at the moment. The v2s fulfills all my desires except for the battery life. since there is no official review i asked a few owners myself about the battery life. The answer was max 2h which is pretty poor. So i searched the web how to enlarge the battery life and found the hint to disable the aero surface. the battery life gained about 30 minutes. so i was wondering if there is a chance that the battery lasts much longer by installing winXP instead of Vista.

    thanks for you help

Well, probably after disabling Aero there won't be much more of an improvement. I would say perhaps 5 to 15 minutes depending on how much swapping goes on.

Unless CPU usage is really larger in Vista.
