Hi I have an Asus V2s and I thought of upgrading with these:
    CPU T9300
HDD Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB

500$ in total. What are your suggestions?

    It has now a T7300 and a 160 5400 HDD.
Has a friend here upgraded this? The HDD is too small.I can afford an SSD but the capacities are not sufficient for my needs.
    Thanx.

I would upgrade the hard drive first, it is one of the bottlenecks in most laptops and you will notice an increase in the speed of the notebook. As for the cpu, you'd have to check Asus' website to see if there is an updated bios for that cpu. Unless your doing a lot of cpu intensive tasks you might not notice that much difference from the cpu that you have now.

Also if you only have 2GB of RAM I suggest investing into 3GB before buying a new CPU. More RAM will provide the cheapest performance boost.

    Don't go further than 3GB if you're using a 32bit OS, though.
